Privacy Policy & YouTube API Disclosures
Last updated: October 2026
1. YouTube API Services & Third-Party Playback
NiaStream uses official YouTube Data API v3 and the YouTube IFrame Player API to provide content discovery and embedded video streaming. By using this application's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
This application does not scrape, download, convert, extract audio from, or redistribute YouTube audiovisual content. All playback of YouTube content takes place exclusively inside Google's official embedded IFrame player.
2. Personal Media Library
Users may upload and stream personal, legally authorized audio and video files. These files are stored securely and played via standard HTML5 audio and video elements with browser Media Session lock-screen integration.
3. Data Collection & Cookies
We collect minimal user information necessary to provide the service: name, email address, password hashes, playback history (to power "Continue Listening"), and personal playlists. We use first-party session cookies for authentication.
4. Data Deletion
Users have the right to clear their streaming history, delete uploaded media files, or request complete account deletion at any time through their settings panel or by contacting an administrator.
